For my Sister
My first attempt at serged ruffles — a spring skirt for my sis. It's a WIP. If you look closely you can see the pins.

Lately my inspiration has been you! I recently found your blog and Flickr page and have been admiring the skirts you make for yourself and your sister. I have the "Sew What Skirts" book but was intimidated by it until I saw your work. Since then, I purchased nice fabric, zippers, and have been memorizing your zipper tutorial. I'm still trying to draft the perfect pattern but it's getting close! Thank you!

Hi Michelle,
I've been enjoying you and Green Kitchen for quite a while now and I think you are fabulous! I just put some kale chips in the oven. Thanks for posting the recipe. I'll let you know how they turn out.
The last time I ate kale was when I was eleven years old (that's over thirty years ago). My mom used to take us girls out and pick kale growing wild. I wasn't crazy about the bitter flavor back then, but I thought she was so cool for feeding us wild food. She was divorced with three kids back then. I'm sure she did it partly because she didn't have enough money to get everything we needed at the supermarket.
Thanks for being such a great inspiration by sharing so much of the good things life has to offer.
