Colorful Friends and Jam Jar Cozy

Here are the friends (did I miss anyone?) who are cheering me up by playing along with the colors of the rainbow theme:

Tania at Myrtle & Eunice
Patrice at Making Peace
Suse at Pea Soup

Thank you, ladies.

And, for more red...

jam_jar_cozy

a crochet jam jar cozy that I'm designing and writing up — soon to be a free download here at Green Kitchen. I'm looking for a couple brave pattern testers. Anyone?

I like that you chose red! I've been sick this past week and low on energy...red is an energizing color. I think I'll have to join in :D

I'd be happy to be a tester. :) Do I need a specific sized jam jar?

You know it's dangerous to keep me on red. And I'm following your lead here, even though I fear you'll be announcing yellow (if the song is anything to go by).

Would love to roadtest your jam jar cozy, but haven't yet negotiated the art of the crochet. Still working on the finer points with the two pointy sticks!

I'd be honored to test it out for you. It would look great on my jars of violet jelly.

I can try to see if I can get my newly-formed crochet skills up to this task.

Is it for any specific size jar? I think I may have a leftover mason jar lurking around the kitchen from packaging bath salts...

Oh does this bring memories of school when we learned to make something similar, only this time around a bottle! Good fun, and a wonderful gift idea!
I'd love to try my had at the pattern, even if I"m not the most expert in the art of crochet!

The jar cozy is adorable! If you're looking for testers still I'd love to try it out. I have a whole range of mason jars left over from last summers canning.
