What's your spy name?

Once upon a time at a spy party my name was Ava Vescent. I wore a self-made gold spandex dress of my own design and many, many foundation garments. The drinks were blue and served in test tubes. There was a Bollywood actor who sang us a song. I met Harry Covert. She ate the green beans that were sticking out of her bib overalls. Somewhere a video exists of that night, which I'm sure would resurface if I were to run for political office. My foundation garments were returned through the mail slot in the door.

This is me doing my best Peter Petrelli. I've been staying up way too late watching on demand Heroes. They hook me really bad with those cliff hangers, so much that I have to watch one more, then another, until it's three or four in the morning. Did you know there's a direct correlation between sleep deprivation and super heroic powers. At this point I'm close to flying.

When I'm not using my breasts as weapons, or, saving the world one cheerleader at a time I've been known to hold sleepy babies, or, sew a garment or two. This shirt is my "muslin" of Simplicity 4077*. I have a beautiful Japanese double gauze that I want to use for my final version. I saw that Flint Knits used the same fabric (different colorway) for the 4077. Hers is sooooooooo cute that I have to copy her. Maybe Copy Cat is my next superpower?
* Did you notice that Niki/Jessica are modeling the 4077? Coincidence? I think not.

Ooohhhh - that's fabulous. I love your "muslin". I have the same Nana Iro and have been hoarding it but now I'm going to copy cat you with 4077. Okay since we're in different countries and I don't think we'll run into one another. Thanks for the inspiration.
Well if that's your muslin! So lovely and that fabric is so beautiful. The post cracks me up - fighting evil-doers with your breasts. Ha! And yes, instant view and television series + children you can't be a complete somnambulant grouch to = bad, bad combination.
Gosh, I love the 'muslin'! How nice to have the first version turn out so gorgeous.
And that party sounds like the kind of thing I need to force my friends to do for a birthday or something. Foundation garments and all.
My spy name is Nye Sagurl. Which I am not, except when I am holding my babe. Your sewing is making me think maybe I want to sew, but only if I get guarantees that I will end up with a garment that fits me and not a 12 year old. Those pants you posted awhile back rocked. French seams and frayed edges. Oodelaly!
I have to tell you, I adore your muslin! That fabric is gorgeous, and I'm really eager to see however you're going to top that! Beautiful! And love the last picture with the sleeping child! ;)
I am now obsessed with figuring out my spy name!
Love the fabric I used some in a different colourway for a bag.
Yes! Fighting evil-doers is the best thing to do with breasts :)
Love this pattern! I've made at least half a dozen for myself and loved ones.
Can't wait to see your version with the Nana Iro -- the way the print is laid out means that no two will look the same!
I love the fabric you used already, but I'm really psyched to see the double gauze version too. That sleepy toddler shot is lovely.
In addition to super powers, sleep deprivations makes you hilarious as well! I always love your posts, but this one had me spitting on my screen because i laughed so hard :)
You are my favorite superhero.
I totally relate to your Heroes watching and sleep deprivation.
Classic!
Your top is soooo cute! I recently bought a baby sling for a friend of mine in the same fabric and it looks even better as a shirt.
Your muslin is adorable! And so is that Simplicity pattern.
I have the Nani Iro fabric in the blue and have been saving/hoarding it until the right project comes along. The only thing I have been able to think of is a skirt, but it makes a beautiful top...
Your "muslin"s are so much nicer than mine. I'm falling for that print! The shirt is cute too.
