315 Feeds in Bloglines . . .

and no new posts to read. I should probably be doing something else, right? But, sometimes, hitting refresh is all I can muster.

I do that, especially on Sundays. Then all week long, I'm thinking, too many posts to read, not enough time. Maybe I need to set up a 'specially for Sundays' folder!

I had a rare "refreshing" day like that last week. It's either feast or famine in my bloglines. Mostly feast, especially the posts I "keep as new". I create my own traffic jam sometimes.

I try to convince myself I NEED to catch up--much more important than the dishes

And you know what's really bad about those kinda days? A new post pops up [insert bad Horshack impression here: oooh oooh oooh... a new post!] - and it turns out it's just someone who's edited a post. It's like the thrill of the UPS man coming to your door... but only to come with an empty box.

oh, i've been there. i was just thinking about that today, in fact. i was hiding in my basement, mindlessly hitting the refresh button while my son was screaming for me upstairs. i yelled back "i'll be up when i finish what i'm working on down here!!!!"

that's a proud parenting moment for you.

that's funny!

I read a comment that you left on someone's blog (glittergoods, I believe) about not being able to drop your feed dogs. I heard or read somewhere that you can tape a piece of cardstock (or something) over the feed dogs and you can free motion quilt. I have never tried it, but I think it just may be worth a shot.

and I will echo felicia's comment...you can come over and read my blog...I'm doing a giveaway...
