New Vintage Wardrobe & Misc.

I know I should be posting a film strip style photo collection of myself as a follow up to the other two, but damn if I can't figure out some "fun idea." In addition to figuring out a theme I'd have to bathe, fix my hair, pluck hairs, match clothing, etc? That could take weeks.

Not much crafting is going on at my house these days. The little guy is walking and demanding a new level of attention.

Thank you to everyone who is still leaving comments. I used to reply sometimes, now it's almost never. I used to at least go visit the blogs of everyone who commented, but that's lessening, too. This two kid business is definitely busy. We survive by leaving the house, striving to have as much outdoor time as possible. I think I'm a couple years away from being back in tip top blogging shape. Until then I'll try and sneak in some crafting and posting at night and lurking to keep up with everyone.

On an exciting craft note, my friend Bethany from Bitter Betty is starting a sew-a-long of sorts called New Vintage Wardrobe. The idea is to sew contemporary clothes from vintage patterns and share the trials and tribulations with each other through blogs and the Flickr pool she started. She's already posted a couple of super cute outfits that her 11-year-old son photographed. Who knew mowing the lawn could be so fun.

You do reaaly have to consider what photo's of the kids you post, or in future years the kids will be screaming at you due to embarrasing photos! My son won't even allow me to mention him on my blog!

I can barely find time to shower with one baby, I have no idea how you have time to read the internet with two! I'm psyched to see what you make next.

That makes me feel better. I kind of wondered how you did it. I suddenly found your blog and digested it in a short time period paying no mind to the actual real time of the posts and wondered how you (and others) do what you do with freakin' kids! I'm breathin' a little free-er these days with girls almost 10 (eek!) and 8, but still should pay more mind to my 4 yo. And have been doing so, really, I have! Keep your toe in! Sporadic posts are just the thing, better use of time to be watching your little boys do some growing up.

lurk away and no need to apologize...i would like to see some naked toddler photos, tasteful ones anyway. I still fondly recall letting ben crawl naked up and down the hallway after his bath, what good fun!

It sounds like C is officially walking. Our house is all about OUTSIDE time. Our little guy loves his outside time. I totally know what you mean about trying to find time.
For example, I'm up way too late right now. I'll be paying for it tomorrow. Once I start doing my blog and looking at other people's, time is flying by. Anyway, speaking of time, I'd better hit some hay.

I better get over my flickr fear or I'm going to miss out on absolutely all the fun. I can't allow this to happen. I'll read up on Blogger tutorials and see how to use one of those nifty buttons. And how to post to flickr.

Personally, I don't care if my kid is embarrassed later in his life. This was routine long before blogs. It's a part of the whole growing up process. There are a whole lot of people who still think of me as a naked little two year old they enjoyed calling "Devilina". I was embarrassed by this later on, but not scarred. However, I can certainly understand a reluctance to not post naked baby pictures for other reasons.

That's a busy time, when babies make that leap into mobility. Have fun!

There is no two ways about it - once they start walking, life as you know it changes. I try and make deals with the devil - I'll stay home and try and do dome work or blog-related stuff, then Cyrus goes and ravages half the house. I spend just as much time cleaning and recuperating. That going out thing. Running the children to exhaustion. I think I will start small with new sand in our sandbox. At least I can sit on the back deck and knit. It was nice knowing you Michelle - oh you know I write that tongue, very much in cheek.

I have five, and night-time blogging is best! I'm usually up with one teething/vomiting/annoyingly awake anyway!! Keep up the good mumming!
