Christmas Stocking Wall

Christmas Stocking Wall

They taunt me, these pc-dynamo's. How on earth did Erinuncool make a box around her favorite stocking? I've studied the pic. It seems 7 are from the same template. Who crafted the pom-pom-y ones, and then left off the pom-poms on the one erinuncool tagged? Then there is the (4) crazy quilt year. And the (2)cool stripey ones. The 4 year olds have spoken. Let it snow, dammit. I want to go snowboarding.

I think he picked the red stripey one because it looks like the biggest and he's probably smart enough to figure out if you get a big stocking you might get more stuff.

Old Round -- there should be a button over the image on the left that says "Add Note" If you click that, the magic happens. Actually, I didn't know how to do it either ... but your question made me look for it. :)

I think I have an unfair advantage. Actually, I KNOW I have an unfair advantage, so I won't guess with one was the heart's desire of the four-year-old.

I asked my two 4 year olds and they picked the one with the curley toe and the mustard yellow one...not sure why exactly, but those are their picks!

Now that's a collection to cherish!

I'm with futuregirl. I think he picked the red stiped one too.

I would guess either the leopard print or the snowman for the four year old's pick. What a great collection. And a great Idea to hang them all.

I am so amazed at the size of your stocking collection. I have barely gotten it together to have enough for our family of three that didn't all have my name on them. Last year I finally made my six year old a stocking of his own with race cars on it. And fire.

I was guessing the exact ones the Eren's kids picked, the curly toe and the mustard one.

Old Round and Bunny got it with the snowman one. It's truly something I would never bring home on my own. I'm not sure how he snuck it into the house. I think he was with his father.

It's from the store. That's why I knew which one it was.

In response to your comment; Of course I'll share! I saw four or five of those big one's, plus some different smaller ones that looked blueish on the 15th (last Thur?) under some big oaks below the Shakespeare theater building at UCSC. If you leave from the back of the theater and walk down the driveway they were on the right under the big oak near the road between the driveway and the stairway/walkway. I'm in LA right now, but if you want me to show you,I'm flying back early Wednesday morning.
We LOVE to hunt mushrooms, and we still struggle with identification even with all the books we have. Sometimes we just photograph, sometimes we pick and keep them to enjoy, but so far we haven't eaten any. I'd love to eat them someday...
I have a few other places where we find some different varieties, but again, my confidence is low.
With warmth,
Patrice

i missed this in time to vote without knowing... i am in awe of your collection, we have used the same one for years now, i made them out of polar fleece and made them big. the beauty of the fleece is that it stretches and gets EVEN BIGGER!!! your embroidered socks, those, and your gorgeous photos of them last spring are what prompted me to start embroidering again - they are so incredibly beautiful.

That's crazy! and I mean that in a good way! Evey year I think I'm going to finish the one and only stocking that I began years ago. Hmm, I think the four year old had to have the one with the snowmen, sadly, I think it's the only store bought one.
Please come and visit a little house I just finished...I'm very proud.

Hi Michelle, I'm not into Christmas at all this year, but your stocking wall is great. I really love it, especially the historical aspect of it. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope to see you soon.
