Mushroom Madness #3—70s Hidden Picture
Another cool find from my mother-in-law, dropped off this morning. Yes, this is the wallpaper in our bathroom—It's been there since about 1978.

I love the teapot, but I adore the wallpaper! :)
I love the wallpaper. I had something similar on my bedroom wall as a teenager except in pink and mauve.
I've seen the wallpaper in blues, too.
Hi!
I like the wallpaper but I really love the teapot for 2 reasons: I love teapots and I love mushrooms! Great finding from your mother in law... bye, manela
When I was little, I dreamed of walking out into the forest behind my grandparent's home and living there, alone. I was going to make my clothes out of leaves sewn together with grass, build a house out of sticks, and hang out with birds and cute small animals. What I never imagined, in my best fantasies, was a teapot made of mushrooms! I love it!
The mushy madness and the wallpaper seem made for each other... a hidden gem for sure.
cheers, grache
do you like to eat mushrooms too? hehe, this is a silly question that's probably already been answered.... sorry! i can only eat mushrooms on pizza :)
Dawbis: I do like to eat mushrooms, especially chanterelles, boletes (porcini, cep), and craterellus (black trumpets). In the winter I love to hunt for them. I like to get out into the woods in rainy weather--it's the ultimate treasure hunt. And, you get something free for dinner that you can't buy in the stores. It's a bit like thrifting. :)
we have a christmas eve ritual of hunting for chanterelles then coming home and making something with our finds (crepes, pasta) but the last few years we have been skunked.
love the teapot and the wallpaper!
i just saw 4 ceramic mushroom kitchen containers at the thrift store and thought of you!! your teapot is wonderful!!
I so love the wall paper...It reminds me of a similar paper we had when I was little... And the teapot is great!
Cute? I think it is merely further proof that the fungi are TAKING OVER. Cf. http://www.newhousenews.com/archive/story1b080700.html
