Carlo means full-grown
Well, here we are. We're home after an amazing birth adventure. Our new guy is named Carlo, which literally means full-grown. This name wasn't on our list and just came to my husband at the hospital. When I got home I looked it up and laughed because Carlo was 11 lbs 2 oz, pretty full-grown for a newborn! His arm got broken on the way out, but it's already healing. Now onto the adventure of a two-kid home.

My first baby was 11'2"..24 inches long. One good thing about the big ones...they are sturdy and hold themselves very well as a newborn.

Delurking to say Congratulations! My third child broke his "wing" (left clavicle) on "the way out of Mum" too! They heal amazingly fast! He's a rowdy rough and tumble 9 year old now, it certainly hasn't slowed him down any. Let the wild rumpus begin...

Wow, that is a big baby! :) My grandma told me when I had my baby (who was not quite as large as yours, but still on the hefty side) that big babies are more sturdy! :) Congratulations! You should be a proud momma!
