Illustration Friday - Song
Part of the 12 Days of Christmas series I did last year. I thought I'd ease into Illustration Friday by using something existing, luckily I had something that matched the topic. I'm still not sure about if you are supposed to wait till Friday to post -- seems that over 400 people have already posted since Saturday.
This is a small painting, about 2 x 3.5 inches, inspired by Susie Ghahremani's mini paintings. Susie's blog, see/hear, has an interesting topic going on right now about the ethics of getting someone's art as a tattoo without their permission.

Really beautiful illo, the birds are beautiful. As far as when to post your illo they post the following weeks topic on Friday and as soon as it is "up" every one can link their page for that topic. The following Friday it will all happen again. It doesnt have to be new either or done just for IF...just something that illustrates that weeks theme. Its a fun way to share your art work.
Hope I helped,
andrea

Very sweet!
Beautiful work!
Such a pretty composition! I love the idea that you did the 12 days of Christmas...it would be fun to see the other pieces as well. Welcome to IF - as Andrea said, you should put your work up as soon as you have it done after penelope posts the topic. By the end of the week there are hundreds of illos up and then it starts all over again on Friday:>
Thank you all for a kind welcome into the Illustration Friday circle.
Andrea--Thanks for the info. This makes it much easier for me. I have a hard time coordinating specific blog tasks to specific days.
Carla--The rest of the 12 Days can be seen in this Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/greenkitchen/sets/1781593/
Thanks again. That was fun.
That is beautiful!
Very sweet!
